Gateway Mall supports Habitat for Humanity Springfield/Eugene

Gateway Mall has partnered with Habitat for Humanity Springfield-Eugene to work on elimination of poverty housing in our community. This is a part of national partnership between General Growth Properties, (Gateway Mall's owner/management company) and Habitat for Humanity International. Over the next three years, shoppers will be invited to participate in fundraising events, awareness campaigns and volunteer opportunities to benefit Habitat for Humanity Springfield-Eugene.

Stop by our food court and donate to Habitat via their fun coin canister! Visit our events page to get the details of our next Habitat for Humanity event.

Bark Avenue & Meow Place partners with Save the Pets

Bark Avenue & Meow Place is a brand new pet adoption program that has been implemented through General Growth Properties and Gateway Mall. In conjunction with this new program we have partnered with “Save the Pets-Eugene.” We hope together we can reduce the number of homeless pets in our community. Visit our events page for details on the next pet adoption event.

According to The Humane Society of the United States, between six and eight million cats and dogs enter animal shelters in the United States and only half of these animals make it out alive. The fact that most of these animals are healthy when they are euthanized makes their death all the more unnecessary and agonizing. Bark Avenue & Meow Place is an innovative concept that allows local shelters and rescue groups to bring adoptable animals to the mall where potential owners can be introduced to them in a welcoming environment.

Lane County Heart Gallery

A Family For Every Child is dedicated to finding loving, permanent families for every waiting foster child. Please visit their display in the Cinemark 17 wing near the Children's Play Area.

A Family For Every Child, a nonprofit organization, was started by Christy Obie-Barrett and dozens of dedicated and passionate volunteers. In 2006, AFFEC was formed and developed into an organization focused on finding permanent and loving adoptive homes for Oregon's waiting children. Their intention is to develop programs that assist special-needs/challenging-to-place foster children in finding their own Forever Families.
